Kingdom of Glamdire

Princess Doshi Glamdire has always lived in the shadow of her older sister, Gabriella. Although Doshi is only two years younger than her sister, who is nicknamed Wild Rose for her promiscuous behavior, Gabriella always seems to get more attention. So much so, that Doshi feels like she might as well be invisible. Then one day, while thinking this and looking outside the castle windows, she sees an old woman. Doshi hears the woman's voice inside her head, and she tells Doshi that her wish will be granted. From that day forth, Doshi has the ability to become invisible.King Glamdire, sick of Gabriella's unruly behavior, decides to marry her off to Prince Tarin and throws a party to celebrate the union. When Doshi sees her father talking to the most beautiful man she has ever seen, she uses her powers of invisibility to kiss him, and in the process, hears her father refer to him as Prince Tarin, the man who is to wed her sister. Doshi is a good person, but not so good as to completely keep away from Prince Tarin. She's a virgin, after all, and has never been this attracted to a man. Although Doshi does wonder, why isn't Prince Tarin troubled by her invisibility?

Ever been asked, "If you had a choice between flying or invisibility, which power would you choose?" I have always chosen invisibility, and after reading this story you will know why. Doshi, always feeling like the most overlooked person in the room, ironically gains confidence when she literally can become invisible. It is only because Prince Tarin can't see and compare her to Gabriella that Doshi relaxes enough so that her sexuality and personality comes pouring out. Prince Tarin is a kind and intelligent man who is willing to marry a woman who, in all likelihood, will cheat on him because the marriage will benefit his kingdom. But when he finds himself falling for a woman he can't even see, will he choose his heart's desire over his duty? Will Gabriella finally get her comeuppance?

A fairytale premise for every woman who has ever felt overlooked and a story that proves that invisibility is the better power, check out THE INVISIBLE ROSE by A.J. Cove.

Why Is it So Hard?

I don't get it. I blog hop around and find many people out there who have the gift of gab. They even get me interested in what they had for breakfast this morning. I'm just lost in the latest in their family saga. Yet, I can't think of a thing to blog about half the time.

I wonder if it's because I consider myself or my life somewhat boring. Hmm. No, that's not exactly it. I do have ALOT of drama happening right now. Maybe it's that I don't want to air out the granny drawers online. Haha. <-- Ok, that was so not me. Keeley, get off the darn computer!

Sigh. What I do for a laugh. So what should I chit chat about on here? I mean do I really want to yammer on about my book again? Um, yeah! But I won't. Ok, I will.

I'm right at the place where Tony and Cae first do the deed! She's telling him basically how much she hates him and those like him. He's telling he likewise. Both of them are wondering why they can't separate their lips from the other's body. Oh boy, oh boy!

Of course you realize this is all in my head, because I think I stopped writing right when he kissed her and carried her over to the blankets by the fire. I stopped there and went to work. Somehow, even when I had a break, I just couldn't bring myself to write sex scene at work. The atmosphere was all wrong. I mean when Don came in asking for binder clips, that just ruined the whole feel. Know what I mean? Or are you being dirty-minded, wondering what you'd do with binder clips? Yowee!

So, I was asked recently in an interview what were my bad writing habits. I had no idea what a bad writing habit is, though I'm sure I have plenty. I'm thinking now (after the fact of course) that one is blogging and blog hopping when I'm supposed to be writing. Or is that something else?

Ok, I'm ending it 'cause I ran out of endless drivel. :-) Have a great one.

Timeline Confusion: Lost in Space

So have you ever been writing your story and you wanted to jump back in the past, before certain events you've already written about, then got tangled all up in the timeline? That's where I am right now. Ugh! Here's the deal.

In book one (Shift for Hire) Tara has indicated that she and her race came to Earth only five years previously. But then I had the nifty idea in book two (Shift Hunter) to change that accepted fact to a small evil group of Shifts having secretly come to earth roughly ten years previously.

As if that wasn't enough for my befuddled brain, I had the hero as a child of six and half (I think 20 years before Tara's story) and then almost seven years before Tony, his mother encountered the evil group of Shifts. Sheesh!

I opened up an Excel spreadsheet just to see a visual of what in blue blazes I was talking about. I know what I just typed wasn't clear, but it gives you an idea of how lost I am in this timeline deal. I hope I get it worked out soon.

So have you ever flitted back and forth across timelines and storylines and gotten lost somewhere in the worm holes? Haha.

If you see me on your journeys, please direct me home. Thanks.
